Fairfield, California: Being car enthusiasts ourselves, Subaru WRX is one of those vehicles we love to work on when it comes to installing a ceramic coating or installing a paint protection film. Our current customer from the Bay Area, California, wanted us to fully wrap the front of his newly purchased Subaru WRX and give it the ultimate protection against rock chips, scrapes, scratches, and swirls.

We started the PPF installation on the Subaru WRX by first washing the vehicle using our signature foam cannon wash which ensured that there was nothing left in the crevices or nooks that would interfere with the adhesion of the film on the car’s painted surfaces. After blow-drying the vehicle, we performed a clay bar treatment to get rid of all the above surface contaminants and then started our vehicle wrapping process by first doing the Subaru’s hood.

Since the Subaru WRX has a front scoop on the hood, we made precise cuts to ensure that the vehicle got complete coverage against rock chips and any mechanical damage on the vehicle’s paint. After installing the paint protection film (PPF) on the hood, we custom cut and installed paint protection film on the bumper and full fenders. Finally, we installed paint protection film on the front headlights and the back of the mirror.

It is important to note that for maximum protection and without breaking the bank, it’s always a better idea to wrap the full front of the vehicle versus wrapping the entire car. Most of the time, our Robust business customers also have a ceramic coating installed on the rest of the car’s painted surfaces to ensure that they get comprehensive mechanical protection using paint protection film on areas prone to rock chips and scrapes while also getting complete chemical protection against bird bombs, tree sap, and other environmental contaminants due to the ceramic or graphene coating.
