Ford Ranger Full Front and Side Door Paint Protection Film (PPF) Wrap: Bulk Hand Cut Install

Robust Shop, Napa, California: Our current customer from Napa had purchased a new Ford Ranger and wanted to fully protect not just the front of the vehicle but also the side doors against mechanical damage.
We started the install process by washing the vehicle. The vehicle had some very light rock chip dings, but otherwise, the paint was in good condition. We wrapped the full hood and then tucked the film under the hood to ensure there were no seams or lines.
After the hood, we installed the paint protection film on the side doors while hand-cutting the edges away. The hand-cut install does create a less clean finish than a precut film but provides superior coverage than a precut film. Since the customer’s priority was protection while being on a budget, we gave the vehicle a bulk-cut finish.
After the side doors, we installed paint protection film on both the fenders while giving a very clean cut to the edges. Finally, we installed the film on the front bumper, sectionally. It is important to note that sometimes, especially in this case, pre-cut film doesn’t have patterns for front grills and in such cases, there is no option but to hand-cut the film to get coverage. In such cases, the edges can be slightly rougher but they do yield coverage, which is the primary goal of the paint protection film on a vehicle. Finally, we installed the film on the headlights and ensured that the vehicle was fully protected for years to come!
