Rivian R1S in Napa Gets 5-Year Graphene Coating Treatment: Repeat Customer!

Robust Shop, Napa, California: A couple of years ago, our customer had booked us online to get his BMW IX coated with our 5-year ceramic coating. Recently, he traded in his BMW IX for a new Rivian R1S and wanted to get the best protection for his new vehicle in Napa. He reached out to us and immediately booked our services at our shop to make sure that the car didn’t gain any mileage until we had given it our ultimate ceramic protection.

We started the coating installation by first washing the vehicle using our pressurized signature foam cannon wash which removed any dirt and debris from the painted surfaces, glass, and wheels. We then dried the Rivian R1S by using a combination of ultra-plush high-GSM microfiber drying cloths and high CPA blowers that ensured that no scratches and swirls were added to the new paint.

After washing and drying, we inspected the vehicle’s surface to see if it required a clay bar treatment to remove any potential above-surface contaminants. However, the vehicle was in pristine condition and we proceeded to give it a light-cut polishing using a light-cut polish, finishing foam pad, and a primer polish that got rid of very fine scratches and swirls while also serving as a catalyst for proper bonding of the coating with painted surfaces.

Finally, after cleansing and detoxing the vehicle after the polishing, we sectionally installed our 5-year graphene coating, starting from the front, to the paint, wheels, front and top glass, and polycarbonates(lights). Overall, when our Napa customer came back to pick up the vehicle, he was very happy with the results and now had the peace of mind knowing that his Rivian is now protected for many, many years to come!
